About the Event

Catalyst: Innovation in Public Health

Welcome to the official page of the First Catalyst Poster Competition, co-organized by the Faculty of Public Health at Jinan University and the Faculty of Public Health at the Lebanese University (3rd Branch). This initiative celebrates emerging researchers and promotes inclusive academic exchange across institutions.

Event Date: January 24, 2026

Location: Jinan University, Tripoli, Lebanon

Target Audience: MPH and students, Health Science Master’s candidates, and early-career researchers.

Catalyst provides a platform for young scholars to showcase their work, receive feedback, and contribute to the advancement of public health knowledge in Lebanon and the region.

Themes

Participants may submit their posters under one or more of the following thematic clusters:

1. Health Systems, Policy, and Risk Management
   
   • Health management and policy
   • Quality assurance and patient safety
   • Infection control and health system resilience
   
   
2. Public Health Technologies and Genomics
   
   • Digital health and surveillance
   • Public health genetics and bioinformatics
   • Innovative tools for population health
   
   
3. Community Health, Education, and Wellbeing
   
   • NCD Prevention and Management
   • Mental health and Wellbeing
   • Health Education and Behavior Change

Each theme reflects critical areas of public health practice and research. Choose the cluster that best aligns with your work.

Submission & Guidelines

Abstract Submission

• Word count: 250–300 words
• Language: English or French
• Include: Title, author(s), affiliation(s), contact info

Poster Design Requirements

• Size: A0 (84.1 cm x 118.9 cm)
• Orientation: A0Either Portrait (width 84.1 cm x height 118.9 cm) or Landscape (width 118.9 cm x height 84.1 cm).

• Format: PDF
• Font sizes:
• Title: 72 pt and 100 pt, readable from 3–5 meters away
• Headings: 54 pt
• Body text: 36–40 pt
• Legends: 28 pt

Design Tips

• Use a light background with dark text
• Stick to one font style
• Prioritize visuals over paragraphs
