ADM 145 Math for Business (3 Cr.)

Recall of the set theory, numerical functions of one variable, logarithms function, exponential and powers, local studies of the functions, integral calculus, functions of several variables. II: Functions of several variables, differential equations of the first and second order, linear algebra: vector spaces, linear applications, matrices, determinants, and multi-linear algebra: linear equations, polynomials, and reductions of the square matrices.

 

ADM 150 Statistics for Business (3 Cr.)

Time series, spaces of probabilities, combinatorial analyses: arrangement, permutation, And combination, laws of probabilities: binomial, Poisson, normal, exponential, sampling, regression, estimate, correlation, introduction to the chi-square theory and tested hypotheses.

ADM 155 Accounting I (Principles of Accounting) (3 Cr.)

Accounting policies, operations of the enterprise, inventory works, company accounting

 

ADM 160 Principles of Marketing (3 Cr.)

المفاهيم الأساسية للتسويق. إطار التسويق. الأسواق المختلفة. تحليل تصرفات المستهلكين.تشريح الأسواق وتعريف الأهداف. قياس السوق. تخطيط السوق: إنتاج، أسعار، تصريف. استراتيجية التسويق والمنافسة. التسويق الدولي.

 

ADM 165 Business English & Communication (3 Cr.)

يهدف هذا المقرر إلى تقوية اللغة الأجنبية عند الطالب ثم إلى تدريبه على كتابة الرسائل التجارية بكافة أنواعها.

 

ADM 170 Macro Economics (3 Cr.)

اقتصاد تحليلي: نظرية تصرف المستهلكين وعنصر الطلب: الحساب الاقتصادي للمستهلكين والمنفعة الحدية، طلب الأموال، طلب المشاريع. نظرية تنظيم السوق: سوق المنافسة، سوق الاحتكار. نظرية توزيع الدخل: سوق المنافسة الكاملة وغير الكاملة لعناصر الإنتاج.

 

ADM 175 Introduction to Business (3 Cr.)

It is designed to introduce the student to the function of the business. The student is made aware of the actions and the elements such as markets, labor etc…

 

ADM 180 Principles of Management (3 Cr.)

مبادئ الإدارة: الهيكلية الأساسية: المؤسسة، الإدارة، الإدارة العامة. تنظيم الوظائف: التجارية، التموينية، الإنتاجية والتقنية، المالية. متطلبات إدارة المؤسسة.

مبادئ التنظيم الإداري: ماهيته. المركزية واللامركزية. التنظيم الإداري في لبنان: الإدارة المركزية، السلطات المحلية والبلدية، الأجهزة العامة. النشاطات الإدارية العامة: الأعمال الإدارية، المشروعية، مسؤولية السلطات العامة، الرقابة على الإدارة العامة.

 

ADM 185 Financial Management (3 Cr.)

Introduction. Plan of financing, external financing in the long run. Ordinary actions and preference share. Bond, leasing. Capitalization of the enterprise. Evaluation and yield. Cost of the capital. Policy of dividends.

 

ADM 190 Business Policies & Strategy (3 Cr.)

Strategic management of the enterprise: The enterprise, the environment, what does the enterprise want, the objectives system, strategic models, case study, state intervention, multinational enterprises.

 

ADM 195 Business Law (3 Cr.)

قانون الأعمال I: القانون المدني: الأموال والذمة المالية، الالتزامات، العقود، المسؤولية. القانون التجاري: التجار، المؤسسات التجارية، الشركات التجارية.

قانون الأعمال II: المبادئ النقدية الأساسية: وظيفة النقود، أنواع النقود، مفهوم السيولة، الكتلة النقدية، تداول النقد. السياسة النقدية والسياسة الاقتصادية. وسائل رقابة السياسة النقدية.

المصارف: تاريخ المصارف، تنظيم مصرف لبنان، أسباب ازدهار مصرف لبنان، الأنواع المختلفة للمصارف، العمليات المصرفية.

 

ADM 205 Accounting II (3 Cr.)

Analytical accounting: General principles, matters, the labor, industrial expenses, purchase cost, production cost and real cost prices, charge of the fixed charges, standard cost price, analyze in costs proportional, integrated accounts department. Associations accounting: Inventory and assessment, constitution of the commercial companies, distribution of the benefit, dissolution of the company.

 

ADM 210 Labor Law & Social Security (1.5 Cr.)

The Terrestrial contract of assurance: - effects of the assurance contract, obligations of the assured, obligations of the assuror, regulation of the lawsuit rising from the contract of assurance, people assurance, Assurance against the damage (fire, civil liability, car accidents) – The labor code standards act - the social security code.

 

ADM 215 Business Ethics (1.5 Cr.)

Comparison of ethical systems followed by populations. Great focus also on the ethical invest and their effects on the overall environments of the businesses.

 

ADM 220 Total Quality Management (1.5 Cr.)

This course will focus on the theories, systems and practices of total quality management (TQM). Great focus on “ISO” applications and standards.

 

ADM 225 Organizational Development (3 Cr.)

Industrial organization: General, bases of industrial organization: flowchart, establishment of the factory, preparation for operation (planning), control (production, quality), staff safety.

 

ADM 230 Intern ship / Practicum & case study (3 Cr.)

Course Content

Special training and study concerning an enterprise. The student should gain the experience necessary to break into a new industry.

 

ADM 235 Data Structure & Algorithm (3 Cr.)

Presents the C++ Programming Language using structured programming techniques and program development methodology. Students design, code, test, and debug programs using repetition and decision structures, pointers, functions, and other C data structures. Internal data representation; Abstract data types; Elementary data structures: arrays, lists, stacks, queues, trees, graphs; Advanced data Structures: heaps, Fibonacci heaps, B-trees; Recursion, sorting, searching, hashing, storage management..

 

ADM 240 Law of Taxation (1.5 Cr.)

Fiscal regime: General principles on the Taxes - The tax System in Lebanon: Direct Taxes in Lebanon: - Income tax, Activities and taxable people, Taxable profit, Tax on the treatments, wages and retirement pensions, Treatment Tax, wages and retirement pensions, Tax on the incomes of the transferable securities, Tax on the property built. Indirect Taxes and Comparable Taxes.

 

ADM 245 Project Management (1.5 Cr.)

This course prepares students to manage information systems development projects during their career. Students will learn the concepts and techniques of identification, formulation, and planning of projects; project cycle; project appraisal and evaluation; project design, PERT and CPM; project analysis methods, including, fund-flow analysis, ratio analysis, break-even analysis, profitability analysis, cost-benefit analysis, etc...

 

ADM 250 Operations Management (1.5 Cr.)

Course Content

Foundations of operations management and productivity. Designing the production/operations management system. Controlling the production/ operation system.

 

ADM 255 Entrepreneurship (1.5 Cr.)

Course Content

At this course students will be exposed to the know-how of assessing business opportunities, developing a business plan, understanding various ways of mobilizing resources.

 

ADM 260 Human Resource Management (3 Cr.)

Personnel functions and services. Respective roles of the personnel in the hierarchy. The human resource organization. Group Tasks. Personnel recruiting and selection. Appreciation of the personnel. Remuneration. Human relations.

 

ADM 265 Managerial Economics (3 Cr.)

Designed to train managers in the use of economic reasoning to solve managerial problems, the course covers the review of basic demand and cost/supply theory, pricing strategies, industrial organization and strategic market behavior and decision trees. Applications to managerial strategy and public policy, with emphasis on competition, market power and externalities.

 

ADM 270 Operations Research (3 Cr.)

Operations Research (OR) refers to the science of decision making. This course provides a survey of fundamental methods of Operations Research and their applications at an introductory level. The emphasis is on applications rather than the details of methodology. By the end of the course, students will be exposed to a wide variety of applications and problems that can be addressed using Operations Research techniques.

Topics: Mathematical models, Introduction to linear and non-linear programming, the simplex method, convexity, Kuhn-Tucker condition. Game theory, decision analysis, network analysis, queuing theory, birth and death processes, network models and algorithms, dynamic models, queuing models and other topics.

 

ADM 275 Data Base Management System (3 Cr.)

Emphasis on introduction of the basic data base models, corresponding logical and physical data structures, comparisons of models, logical data design, and database usage. Terminology, historical evolution, relationships, implementation, database personnel, future trends, Entity-relationship and relational data models and approaches to database design. Relational and object-relational query languages, with substantial coverage of SQL. Algebraic query languages and some database theory. Integrity constraints, triggers, and views; functional dependencies and normal forms.

 

ADM 280 Programming I (3 Cr.)

Introduces fundamental programming techniques using the current Windows development environment and Visual Basic.Net. Students design procedures and write computer instructions to solve business problems, learn procedural programming, develop graphical user interfaces in Windows and work with events and objects. The basic elements of programming languages and programming paradigms: functional, imperative, and object-oriented. Introduction to formal semantic methods. Modern type systems, higher-order functions and closure, exceptions and continuations. Runtime support for different language features. Emphasis is on separating the different elements of programming languages and styles. Basic issues in programming language design and implementation: Context-free grammars, static semantics and dynamic semantics, lexical analysis, parsing, variable declarations and types, references, values, pointers, expression and assignment statements, objects, classes, inheritance and polymorphism are covered..
